    Welcome to LightSeed. These Terms of Service govern your use of the LightSeed mobile and web applications.

    1. Acceptance of Terms

    By creating an account or using LightSeed, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use LightSeed.

    2. Description of Service

    LightSeed is a mindfulness and personal growth application that provides:

    • Daily journaling (text and voice-to-text)
    • Mood and emotion tracking
    • Goal management with task breakdown
    • Personalized daily affirmations
    • Timeline view of your personal history
    • Cross-platform sync across devices

    3. Eligibility

    Age Requirement

    You must be at least 13 years old to use LightSeed. If you're under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

    Account Responsibility

    You are responsible for:

    • Maintaining the confidentiality of your password
    • All activities that occur under your account
    • Notifying us immediately of unauthorized access

    4. Account Creation

    To create an account, you must provide:

    • A valid email address
    • A secure password
    • Optional: Your name for personalization

    Accurate Information

    You agree to provide accurate, current information and keep it updated.

    5. User Content

    Your Ownership

    You retain all rights to your content:

    • Any other data you create in LightSeed

    Our License

    You grant us a limited license to:

    • Store your content on our servers
    • Sync your content across your devices
    • Display your content back to you in the app

    We will never :

    • Read your journal entries for any purpose other than technical support (and only with your explicit permission)
    • Share your personal content with third parties
    • Use your content to train AI models
    • Sell or monetize your personal data

    Content Restrictions

    You agree not to use LightSeed to:

    • Store illegal content
    • Harass, threaten, or harm others
    • Impersonate any person or entity
    • Upload malicious code or viruses
    • Violate intellectual property rights

    6. Acceptable Use

    You agree not to:

    Technical Restrictions

    • Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or compromise the app
    • Use automated scripts or bots to access the service
    • Overload our servers with excessive requests
    • Bypass rate limits or security measures

    Account Restrictions

    • Share your account credentials
    • Create multiple accounts to abuse the service
    • Use LightSeed for commercial purposes without permission

    7. Subscription & Pricing

    Free Version

    LightSeed offers a free version with core features including:

    • Affirmations

    • Offline access

    Premium Features (Future)

    We may offer premium subscriptions with additional features. Details will be provided at launch, including:

    Payment Terms

    • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled
    • Prices may change with 30 days notice
    • No refunds for partial months
    • Cancel anytime through account settings

    Voice Data

    Voice-to-text transcription:

    • Processes audio entirely on your device

    We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use LightSeed for personal, non-commercial purposes.

    Restrictions

    You may not :

    • Copy, modify, or create derivative works
    • Sell, rent, or sublicense the app
    • Remove copyright or proprietary notices
    • Use our trademarks without permission

    10. Third-Party Services

    Service Providers

    LightSeed uses:

    • Supabase : Backend database and authentication
    • Azure Speech Services (optional): Cloud voice transcription for premium users

    Your use of these services through LightSeed is subject to their terms and privacy policies.

    11. Disclaimers

    12. Limitation of Liability

    To the maximum extent permitted by law:

    No Consequential Damages

    We're not liable for:

    • Lost data or content
    • Lost profits or business opportunities
    • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
    • Damages exceeding the amount you paid us in the past 12 months

    Exceptions

    Nothing in these terms limits liability for:

    • Death or personal injury caused by negligence
    • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
    • Any other liability that cannot be excluded by law

    13. Indemnification

    You agree to defend and indemnify us from claims arising from:

    • Content you submit to the service

    14. Termination

    By You

    You may delete your account at any time through:

    By Us

    We may suspend or terminate your account if:

    • You violate these Terms
    • Your account is inactive for 3+ years (with notice)
    • Required by law
    • We discontinue the service (with 30 days notice)

    Effect of Termination

    • Your data will be deleted within 30 days
    • You lose access to your account immediately
    • Some provisions survive termination (privacy, liability, etc.)

    15. Changes to Terms

    We may update these Terms by:

    • Posting revised Terms in the app
    • Emailing you at your registered address
    • Providing 30 days notice for material changes

    Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

    16. Dispute Resolution
